How to Prepare

While many situations you face as a pet owner can be unexpected and therefore difficult to prepare for, such as a sudden illness or injury, there are certain things that you can do ahead of time to make even the most unexpected events easier to manage. Noah’s Animal Hospital & Emergency wants to make preparing for any scenario as easy and efficient as possible for you. Not only will this help reduce stress and anxiety for you, but it will make it even easier for us to deliver whatever care is necessary in a more effective and timely manner. If you are a new client, please refer to the following checklist, which will help to ensure that you arrive to your first visit as prepared as possible.

  • Summary of your pet’s illness or injury, including symptoms, any treatments already administered and any other information that may be pertinent to your pet’s visit
  • A copy of the most recent results of any diagnostic tests already conducted
  • A copy of any biopsy reports, if applicable
  • Copies of all x-rays or ultrasound images, if applicable
  • A list of all medications your pet is currently taking
  • A list of any existing or previous health problems your pet has experienced

If possible, we also encourage you to compile a list of any questions or concerns that you may have about your pet and his or her condition. Appointments can be hectic and stressful, making it easy to forget these important things. Having a written list of all of the important things you’d like to discuss can help us to be as thorough as possible, and to ensure that your pet receives the best possible care.

PLEASE NOTE: If your pet is experiencing an emergency right now, please call 317-253-1327 immediately.
